Ultrafiltration
Ultrafiltration is a membrane separation process removing particles between roughly 0.1 and 0.01 µm in size.
The membranes are in the form of hollow fibres and available in a selection of materials.
Commonly used for concentrating or clarifying beverages, and increasingly used in wastewater treatment and as pretreatment for Reverse Osmosis systems.
